Nollywood (Yoruba) actress Laide Bakare is preparing to return to Nigeria after having a long holiday and a break from the movie industry. Former 60 Minute Makeover host, Michelle Watt has been found dead at her home, aged 38.

The daughter of boxing champion Jim Watt died on Wednesday.

Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding her death. Her body was discovered in the £350,000 detached house she shared with husband Paul Kerr, 43, and daughter Jaymi, five, in a leafy estate in Stirlingshire, Scotland.

Michelle's death is the second family tragedy to hit former lightweight champion Jim Watt and his wife, Margaret Kerr. In October 1995, their son, Jim junior lost his life in a horrific road crash when he was only 17-years-old.

Men of the Plateau State Police Command have arrested a 40-year-old man for cutting off his daughter’s finger on allegation that she stole his money.

The man, identified as Surulere Raphael, was paraded on Friday at the police headquarters alongside one Ponjue Domsing, who was alleged to have killed his father, Mr. Domsing, for not buying him a motorcycle as promised.

Police Offering N5 million Reward For Information On Ikorodu Bank Robbery

Police is not joking about this Ikorodu robbery oh.

After the robbery of 2 banks at Ikorodu on Wednesday and a previous robbery 3 weeks ago in the same Ikorodu location, police is now offering a very big reward for any information on the robbers.

Well it seems that Ghanian actor, John Dumelo has a problem buying new shoes and would pretty much settle with wearing the same pair for months as long as it is comfortable.

A mother and her infant son who disappeared in a plane crash in the dense jungles of northwestern Colombia for several days ago were found alive and well in what authorities called a miracle.

Nelly Murillo, 18, and her son Yudier Moreno, not yet one year old, were discovered near the site where the Cessna 303 crashed on Saturday June 20th in thick brush. They were found four days later.

"It’s a miracle. It is a very wild area and it was a catastrophic accident,” said Colonel Hector Carrascal, commander of the Colombian Air Force in Antioquia department.

Michael Jackson's estate has made $2billion since his death

When Michael Jackson died on June 25th 2009 at the age of 50, his estate was bankrupt, but in the 6 years since his passing, a fortune has been made under his name.

According to TMZ

The estate has grossed nearly $2 billion since MJ's death. The money comes from the movies "This is It," the Cirque show "Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour," 50 million albums sold and various other ventures.

After expenses, that $2 bil gets whittled down to around $800m - which is a very good return. But the $800 mil gets significantly cut by taxes - we're told to around $450 mil.

Senate President Bukola Saraki has written to the leadership of his party, APC , on why he could not follow their directive on the appointments of principal officers in the Senate. According to Senator Saraki, the letter from the party stating its choices of party members to fill the principal positions, came after another APC caucus in the house had met and selected their choice for principal officers.

He stated that as much as he would have loved to respect the position of the party, his hands were tied as parliamentary rules and standard have to be followed. A copy of the letter after the cut.. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arraigned a couple, Prince Alphonsus Mbakwe and his wife, Mrs Florence Mbakwe before Justice Lawal Akapo of the Lagos State High Court on a five-count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and stealing.

The couple allegedly defrauded one Professor Uchenna Elike by claiming to help him secure a consultancy job in the Presidency.

The decapitated head of a man was found around 10am this morning hung on the fence of a gas and chemical factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, near the city of Lyon, South East, France. The severed head was found about 30 feet away from the man's dead body which was covered in Arabic writing.

The attack on the factory, which is American owned, left several people injured as 'gas bombs' were used. It is believed the explosions may have intended to blow up the entire factory site but failed.

A 30 year old named Cazeneuve as Yacine Sali, with no criminal record has been arrested in connection with the attack. He told police that he's a member of ISIS. The attack is believed to be either ISIS related or ISIS inspired. Though ISIS is yet to claim responsibility for the attack

Popular beach hotel in Tunisia attacked by terrorists, at least 27 tourists killed

This terrorist attack is still underway in Tunisia. At least 27 tourists have been killed and many others are running for their lives in Hotel Riu Imperial Marhaba, a 5-star beach front hotel in Sousse town in Tunisia as gunmen suspected to be Islamic militias stormed the hotel and opened fire.

Foreign tourists who were relaxing on the El Mouradi Palm Marina near the hotel were first targeted and killed before gunmen stormed the nearby hotel which is in a quiet remote beach.

Police in Tunisia is currently engaging the gunmen in a fierce gun battle. Just one gunman has so far been killed. Many bodies are said to be lying on the beach. Most of the people killed are believed to be foreigners as the hotel is said to be popular amongst European holiday makers.

Weeks after he said he will be stepping down as FIFA President, Sepp Blatter today June 26th told Swiss newspaper, Blick, that he has not resigned as President of the world football body.

"I have not resigned. Rather, I have made my mandate available at an extraordinary congress."he said

In early June, Blatter had said that he will be stepping down as FIFA president "I decided to stand again for election because I thought it was the best option. The election is closed but the challenges have not come to an end. Fifa needs a profound restructuring. Although the members of Fifa have re-elected me president, this mandate does not seem to be supported by everybody in the world of football. This is why I will call an extraordinary congress and step down." he'd said on June 2nd
