Founder of Enugu Adoration Ministry, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, yesterday during his 20th priesthood anniversary, prayed for the president of Nigeria, Muhhamadu Buhari who had earlier wished him a happy celebration and called him a man of truth, saying he prays the Lord will be with him and protect him, so that enemies will not destroy him.

While speaking at the Christ the King Parish, Enugu, to thousands of worshippers including the wife of the Enugu State Governor, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi, the cleric said despite all the attacks against him, God continued to protect him because he remained on the side of the truth.

“I am not tired after 20 years, 20 years of good health; 20 years of miracles from God; 20 years of hard apostolic work; 20 years in the hand of God. There was a time they blackmailed me; they were saying such things like ‘Mbaka why? Mbaka this, Mbaka that’, but I have remained in the hand of God,” he said.

The final weeks of Britain's fattest man are to be revealed in a documentary filmed shortly before he died - showing how he spent £22,000 on takeaways in six years. Carl Thompson, who weighed 65 stone when he died aged 33, was found dead at his flat in Dover, Kent last month after binge-eating for years following the death of his mother.

He agreed to talk about his struggle with obesity as part of Channel 5's six-part Supersized season - but died just weeks after filming had finished. Mr Thompson was completely bedbound in the run-up to his death and often consumed 10,000 calories a day spending thousands of pounds a year on fast food.

He reveals in the documentary how he had even given staff at his local takeaway a key to his home so they could bring food to his bed. Too sad.

Woman Comes For Timaya, You Raped Me During Your Show In Atlanta, Shares Chats

A scene has been going on online (instagram) with a certain Nigerian lady based in Atlanta accusing Timaya of rape. According to her, she was raped by the artist during his last show in Atlanta.

Explaining what happened through an instagram account, she told Timaya NO when he asked her for s3x but he forced his way and raped her. She said she knows how to report such a crime to the police but she let him go because of his two kids, so that he can return to them in Nigeria instead of going to jail, but alas Timaya turned around and started threatening her. She said this made her open the new account (exposingtherealtimaya) so that the world will know he is a rapist and said what ever happened to her afterwards, should be blamed on the singer. Insurgents Plan To Bomb My House, Osinbajo Cries Out

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Thursday raised the alarm over an alleged plan by insurgents to bomb his house. Osinbajo raised the alarm during a meeting of the National Economic Council held inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja. The council, which has the Vice President as its chairman, comprises of all state governors.

According to a statement issued at the end of the meeting, Osinbajo who had toured some of the states witnessing insurgency in the North-East, told members of the council that intelligence report made available to him indicated that insurgents were planning to dump refuse laden with bombs in his house.

The council document released by its secretariat did not however indicate where his house in question is situated.

Funny enough he was not even arrested by the South African government but by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals, who found it offensive for the prophet to feed his congregation with live snakes.

Penuel Mnguni, a preacher in South Africa who allegedly ordered his congregation to consume live snakes has been arrested on animal cruelty charges, RDM News Wire reported. Controversy ensued after pictures of the congregation eating snakes were posted on the church's Facebook page last week.

The controversial preacher, who heads End Times Disciples Ministries in Soshanguve, north of Pretoria, told his congregation the snakes would taste like chocolate. He is to appear in the Ga-Rankuwa Magistrate’s Court today, 20^th of July, 2015 to face animal cruelty charges brought by the Society for Prevention of Cruelty Against Animals.

Imo: Govt Denies Owing Workers

The Imo State Government has denied media reports of owing several months salary arrears to workers in the state, even as the state Chairman of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Austin Chilakpu, insisted that salary arrears owed to Imo workers surpassed one month but ranged from three to seven months.

A press statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Sam Onwuemeodo, said: “The truth is that Imo State Government does not owe the civil servants or the teachers who constitute the government workers in the state 11 months salary arrears and not even two months’ salary arrears. We are making this claim to be contradicted with verifiable facts.”

After NBC said in a statement yesterday that SSS have arrested engineers of Biafra Radio and seized their transmitters, the radio operators have fired back saying it is not true and they are still very much operating. They denied the news that any of their engineers were arrested by SSS men and said instead they are broadcasting strongly.

On its official website and via its Twitter account, the management of the radio outfit said;

Ogun LG Aspirant Escapes Assassination

A local government chairman aspirant, Ekundayo Olusola escaped assassination by whisker as gunmen stormed his residence at the wee hours of Friday in search of him. Olusola, who is the incumbent vice chairman of Abeokuta South local government council is among those eyeing the chairmanship seat in the next local government election in the state.

An eyewitness accounts that the gunmen stormed his residence asking for him but were told that he was not around. They then pounced on his wife and kids. They beat them and could have possibly killed them if not for the quick intervention of neighbours,” the eyewitness said.

The incident occurred at Olusola’s residence located at Ekundayo compound, Obantoko area of Abeokuta in Ogun state.
